My approach to photography is an invitation to step fully into the moment, to root yourself in the now.

Hey, I'm Alessandra and I believe that if you wish to wander past the getting-ready rituals or slip away for hushed portraits beneath the sunset, I follow your lead. The story bends to you, never the other way around.

I believe the best images happen when you are completely present, unguarded, and at ease. That’s why my services are fully customizable and designed to protect your day from feeling like a performance. Every package includes a relaxed, complimentary engagement session (think of it as a really fun date night). I will tell your story through a nostalgic combination of digital, authentic analog film, and gritty, retro camcorder highlight videos. And because I know the eagerness is beautiful torture, your first sneak-peek gallery will arrive within 48 hours of your wedding day.

MY STORY

At 36, after a decade as a veterinary surgeon, I rewrote my story. I decided to romanticize my little fairy life for real and step into my true calling. Building this world from scratch without a safety net helped me appreciate this craft in such a way that words can barely touch. My Mediterranean and Celtic roots run deep through my work, filling it with a hunger for nostalgia, fantasy, and raw human connection.
As a half-Italian, half-Welsh, intersectional feminist, and a bisexual woman in a straight-presenting relationship, absolute inclusivity isn't just a policy for me, it’s the bare minimum. I am an undiagnosed neurospicy soul (my brain often functions like a raccoon on meth, if I’m being honest), and I’m also a chronic over-planner who can organize an elaborate trip with local gigs and brunch in record time (my friends literally call my itinerary skills Arielinblue Travels). I’m a lover of period dramas, border collies, and frolicking in wild bodies of water.
Because of my own identity, creating a world where you can exist free of judgment is my highest priority. I live with a troubling case of FOMO, meaning I want to see, do, and capture everything. If you also feel a bit too sensitive for the modern world, or if your brain is a hectic, beautiful, creative engine like mine, you have found your person. We don’t need to perform for the world; we just need to capture your magic, exactly as it is.

Cults & Costumes

Though I am not a great reader, I am a devoted watcher of period dramas—Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Peaky Blinders, Bridgerton, and the like. If you wish to lose hours in conversation with me on a wedding day, ask about historical costume design, or my strangely deep well of knowledge about modern cults and the Mormon church.

The Ultimate Fuel

My absolute favourite food is pizza. Duh. (The half-Italian in me will not tolerate the pineapple question, you are warned, child!)

The folklore roots

I hold a deep love for Irish, Scottish, and lately, Appalachian folk music. My favourite bit of earthlore is that the Appalachian mountains and the Scottish Highlands once belonged to the same ancient range, back in the days of Pangea. So when I listen to those raw, old songs, it feels as if my soul is time-traveling through stone and story. Strange, but true.

I am a gatherer of sea shells, antique furniture, and charity shop treasures. My studio is a nest curated by a stylish Victorian grandmother, filled with stories and shadows. My most prized possession is a grand, moody Victorian mirror, perfectly suited to my love of dark wood and atmospheric history.

Gaming & The Covid Bread

When time allows, I do not simply play video games—I vanish into them. Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2 are my chosen worlds. During the 2020 lockdowns, I spent so many hours wandering digital landscapes that my partner had to learn the ancient art of bread-baking just to survive my gaming quests.

Studio Aesthetic: Haunted Victorian Grandma

  • a styled photoshoot similar to the wedding in the movie Tristan and Isolde - a boat full of flowers and bridesmaids on the sides, the bride at the front of then boat and the lovers meet at the peer in a candlelight ceremony
  • a styled photoshoot similar to the Bridgerton scene of Sophie and Benedict in the greenhouse : lots of plants, lanterns, candlelight and cosy vibes

Photography Bucket list

  • an Iceland elopement
  • a summer solstice elopement on top of a cliff looking out to the sea (Scotland and South Wales would be perfect for this!)
  • a couple amongst the Zaanse Schans windmills in the Netherlands
  • an elopement in the Dolomites in Italy
  • a passionate couple photoshoot entirely in the pouring heavy rain
  • a wedding where the party ends up in the sea/lake/pool
  • a night-time and sunrise romantic couple session in Rome city centre

Real magic happens when you look at a photograph and finally see yourself as you truly are: beautiful, free, and in love.
